Florian Gilcher is developing Rust since 2013 and professionally trains the language since 2015. He co-created the [Berlin Usergroup](https://berlin.rs), the [European Rust Conference RustFest](https://rustfest.eu) and the embedded and industry focused Rust conference [Oxidize](https://oxidizeconf.com). He's been a Rust project member since 2015 and today is part of the community and core teams, and a member of the Rust Foundation board. He's a co-founder of [Ferrous Systems](https://ferrous-systems.com), a company focused on bringing Rust to the industry through training, implementation and coaching. He is also managing Critical Section, Ferrous Systems' subsidiary focused on qualifying the Rust compiler.
